CD Reviews:

Méav

Captivating!
Méav's songs in this CD are captivating. Truly an auditory delight worth experiencing. Méav has a pure angelic voice you can never get tired of.

Silver Sea

Enchanting!
The music from this 2nd CD of Méav transports listeners to a place of serenity and peace. A perfect choice of music for relieving stress after a busy day. If you like Enya or Charlotte Church, you will love Méav's Silver Sea. Méav has a voice of an angel. She sings with such grace; her music is enchanting.

The songs on the CD speaks to many moods. I start my day with the "Youkali tango" (track 13) with its upbeat music, and "the cradles"(track7) is the best lullaby at the end of the day. "The Waves of Tory" is by far my favorite. The song reminds me that sometimes we all need to come back home to where our hearts belong.

Méav: A Celtic Journey

Transcendently Impressive
I was currently given this CD as a gift from a friend. I have listened to Méav since 2004, and have heard her songs even when she was still with Anuna. A Celtic Journey is an impressive collection of Méav's best songs.

Méav's music has truly matured through the years. The quality, clarity and passion in her voice becomes more superb each passing year. And this Cd contains all the songs on that wonderful journey.

The arrangement on this version of "She Moved Through the Fair" is quite unique. "The Last Rose of Summer" definitely demonstrates Méav's true vocal talent in classical, and not just traditional irish music. Méav sung "Down by the Salley Gardens," "Suantrai" and "Goltrai" for the admirable solo CD of Andreja Malir ("Through the mirror of sound") and I am glad Meav added these songs in this collection for those who have not heard of the latter CD of the famous orchestra harpist.

"I Dreamt I Dwelt in Marbled Halls," "Celtic Prayer," and "Danny Boy" are my favorite.
No one can sing them like Meav! "Greensleeves" was definely My Delight!

And "Dante's Prayer" is truly a memorable song. It stands out definitely in this CD. You may also find yourself playing this version of "Silent Night," just for a lullabye (even if its not the holiday season).

If I am introducing someone new to Méav's music, this is the CD I would get them. Méav: A Celtic Journey takes your on a serene and meditative journey while listening to these wonderful collection. Truly a Celtic Excellence!
